Hello,
Does anyone work for Covansys?? I am in the process of talking to them for employment on H1B. Any issues with this company? I appreciate your comments...
They are big and you can join them without any hesitation. I worked for them for more than 6 yrs. I am not working there any more.

Nice stamp....Kirupa should do a thing were he picks like 25 peeps in a stamp contest and turns them into real stamps and peopl could buy them off the site for like 5 dollars or somthin lol

I have a question. I am a July 2nd 485, EAD, AP filer and I did not receive my AP yet. My H1 visa stamping got expired, and I am planning to go to India for 2 months. Can I leave US before my AP gets approved, hoping that it will be approved in the next 2 months time and my attorney will send the AP papers to my India address?
Is it possible, please advice.

Hello Freinds,
I came to India on a vacation and went for a H1 stamping on 29th Dec at the Chennai consulate. I ended up getting the famous Pink 221G (Additional Admin Processing - AAP). I believe it is because of my muslim name (I am not a consultant or working for any consulting firm, full time employee with my comp's IT department, work for a reputed manufacturing company and done MS here in USA, been in USA for 9 years now, had previous F1, and H1 stampings).
The VO asked very basic questions (who is the employer, what they do, where did you go to school, what majors) and didn't take any of my documents except the D156, D157 & Employee letter. She said my visa is approved, however I will have to go through AAP and will have to wait for 4 to 12 weeks.
I am planning to wait till the end of January and if nothing moves ahead in my case, then go back to USA on Advance Parole (Based on the experience from other members who were stuck in 221G and who travelled back on AP), and come back to India once the 221G is cleared, and the consulate requests to send Passport.
One of my personal concerns about this approach, does the consulate consider my visa applicaton abondoned if they find out that I have already entered US (using AP)? and will it have any issues in the future with my pending AOS?
Has anyone gone through this similar situation (that they travelled on AP while H1 is in 221G status) and got successful stamping after the consulate has requested to send the Passport.
Anyone please share your experience in the above situation........
Also if am returning to USA on AP, do I have to show the I797, so the Immigration officer puts the expiration date on the I94 as the date on the I797

You are looking at a old document. The I-94 copies were asked back in 2008 to identify that you are in fact at or beyond 6th year on H1. Now all you need is the latest I-94 and form I-907 along with I-140 original labor certificate to do premium processing.
Now there are no restriction, any one eligible to file I-140 can do premium.

There is 180 days rule for h1b without pay and also it is employers responsibility to pay when you are out of project. Also think about option of switching her back to h4.

Great tip from AILA for our H1B (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) filers trying to beat the rush. Because you cannot submit an LCA earlier than six months prior to the beginning date of the period of intended employment (20 CFR � 655.730(b)), if you want your LCA in hand before April 1, then set your employment start date on the LCA for a date in September, and set the expiration date for a date no more than three years hence. File the I-129 with a start date of October 1, but with an expiration date that coincides with the expiration date of the LCA. You will lose a couple of days on the back end of the petition by doing this, but you will get the LCA filed and back before April 1.
Example:
LCA start date: 9/1/10
LCA end date: 8/31/13
Form I-129 start date: 10/1/10
Form I-129 end date: 8/31/13
Due to delays in receiving approved LCAs, take the proper precautions and file your LCA early to avoid any undue delays.
Although under certain circumstances USCIS has agreed to accept H-1B petitions for processing that include LCAs that have not been certified, attorneys should understand that if the LCA submitted with the H-1B petition is eventually denied, the H-1B (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) will be denied, even if a subsequent certified LCA is submitted. This is even true where the denial is due to DOL error in not being able to verify a petitioner's FEIN. How familiar are you with creating apps in Blend? If you are not very familiar, I would strongly suggest looking through the tutorials found in the Basics / Overview section: http://www.kirupa.com/windowsphone/index.htm
They should provide you with a basic understanding of how to add controls to your project, make some tweaks to them, etc.

The answer is Yes you can switch to new employer. Your H-1 does not matter anymore as you have applied for AOS and you have a valid EAD which you can use for AC21 portability for a new employer after 180 days.
