    What happens if someone who has a pending employment based I-485 (EB3/ROW/PD:03/07, July 07 Filer) is selected for the Green Card DV Lottery?

    This is getting ridiculous...losing my patience

    I think a controlled slow movement is good at the beginning of the year. Last year they had made, for example, EB2 India as April 2004 but they had to make it U after 1st quarter.
    So, a controlled slow movement will leave to more un-used numbers in the 3rd quarter when they will then be forced to make big jumps in dates to use up annual visa numbers

    If I were you I would just get a new exam done and submit it. Also, you should explain that you DID submit it in the first place and send the sealed envelope again. What do you have to lose if you send 2 medicals? Hanging on to the sealed one you have does not gain anything.

    About envelope being huge? Well, no regulation says that you cannot send any envelope greater than 11x17. That would be just plain stupid if they rejected because of envelope size, and I seriously doubt they would do that. Thinking about it, it would be funny to see someone chest xray pop out of an 11x17 envelope :)

    Hi
    Here is my situation and looking for any previous experience and suggestion from experts.

    I have my EAD valid for 2 years PD 05 EB2. I got a job from another company but vendor says I need to be in his payroll. Job wise everything is good. I want to join him on EAD.
    Here are my concerns

    1. Should file for AC21 or just keep quite till CIS sends a letter ?
    2. If I ensure my new job and old job responsibilities are same, am I safe ?

    Do you see any problems or advise me for anything.

    My spouse and I have been notified through I-797C notice of action letter of the interview for (form-1-485, application to register for permanent residency). They require us to bring along a checklist of items for the interview including form I-864 that needs to be attached with Tax returns and W2 or certified IRS printouts.

    Both of us have been in US for 15 years holding F1 and later H1B visas. The problem is that one of us (who is the dependent) has worked in several organizations without authorization. We would like to know what cause of action to take to mitigate the problem as well as the worst-case scenario in terms of our ability to obtain residency. Any advice, particularly those who know of someone who has faced a similar situation will be appreciated.

    Most of the time I don't really like photos that are processed with canned Photoshop effects, they are either too obvoiusly based on a photo or not "handmade" enough. I think by chance (I tried one efter the other just for fun and to see what they did) I stumbled on an effect ("Diffuse Glow" distortion effect in CS) that surprisingly gave this sort of painting or water color look. I tried it on some other photos and it just made a total mess of them. It just somehow worked for this specific picture.

    Indian Government sources had said that the Bureau of Diplomatic Security had contacted the ministry of external affairs (MEA), India around the time Mr Pacheco was incarcerated for his alleged involvement in the mysterious death of his girlfriend Nadia Torrado � he was in jail from July 9 till July 26, when he was awarded bail. He is a former Goa, India tourism minister Francisco Xavier �Mickky� Pacheco was caught on the backfoot on Sunday once again as reports surfaced that the US State Department�s Bureau of Diplomatic Security had informed India that Mr Pacheco might be involved in a big immigration and money laundering racket.

    Mr Pacheco used to operate an employment agency along with his estranged wife Sara Pacheco which specialized in finding employment for Goans abroad. But according to the former minister, he has had nothing to do with the agency since he separated from his wife around four years back.

    Mr. Mickey Pacheco has been accused by the US Bureau of Diplomatic Security of running an international immigration and money-laundering racket. The bureau got in touch with the external affairs ministry through the US embassy in Delhi and reportedly backed its allegations with documents and details of banking transactions. The ministry then passed on the information to the CBI. The evidence is being described as substantive. According to the US Bureau of Diplomatic Security report, Pacheco had 15 million dollars in his account in the US. He recently transferred 2 million dollars to India.

    Aliens who married or had children before the date of obtaining permanent residency can possibly confer �following-to-join� benefits to their family members. Due to this process, spouses and children will be able to receive green cards quickly. �Following-to join� is not family based immigration, but is similar to a child/spouse receiving derivative benefits based on a primary LPR�s immigration petition.

    Here are the following requirements to be met in order for a spouse or child to qualify under �following-to-join�:
    1. The LPR must have adjusted status or obtained an immigrant visa through a preference category (family or employment based) or diversity lottery. A LPR�s visa number must also be current in order for a family member to receive �following-to-join�.

    2. The petitioner married/had children before becoming a permanent resident and the relationship between the permanent resident and spouse/child is intact at the time of filing. Children of LPRs must be unmarried and under the age of 21. Furthermore, the child/step-child must be from an existing marriage before the LPR obtained permanent residency.

    �Following-to-join� is convenient because it allows primary beneficiaries to do away with filing a separate I-130 for their spouse or child, greatly expediting the green card approval process. Furthermore, spouses and children of LPRs do not have to wait for a visa number to become available. Where a LPR�s spouse or child currently resides affects what procedures he/she needs to follow. If ones spouse and/or child are already in the United States, they may apply for adjustment of status (I-485) based on �following-to-join� and if they are outside of the United States then LPRs need to inform a U.S. consulate of their lawful permanent residency status in order for their family members to apply for an immigrant visa.

    The first picture isn't as good as the others, because it's too dark in the face. You need to wait for the light to hit their face some, and then snap. Harder to do, than to recommend, really.

    Can't really comment on the others.

    Guys,

    I found some new information and it seems that few people who are still waiting may get some clue if not complete idea. Basically I found that when your PD is current the the IO will initiate the FP, Namecheck, IBIS check again when your AOS is in "Final Approval, Visa Available" state. Some IOs would just refresh the FP they have on file and some request another . But namecheck is something that you have to go through again. So if you get stuck in namecheck again, then that could be the reason for the delay since NC takes forever.

    Can you please share the source of this info?
    Is it a learned experience or from a published source ?
    Any info is highly appreciated.
