I have also been denied an H1b visa this year.. Though I had a strong IT background in a very sought after technology, I dont know what went wrong..
Did you re-appeal for it? How did it go? what is your status now.. i am eager to hear back from you as it would be help me know the process better..

I not really a master webmaster but I did some jobs in the recent past and they were satisfied. :)
I think it is great to have a product intro to your project. since it's dogs it should feature dogs. dogs look great over a white background I think with some text or paragraph on the left. If you will used flash add some dog sounds of different breeds.
That's about all I could think of. Hope it helps!

I have current passport with valid I94, my lawyer asks for copy of all expired passport which has visas on it. But I ccannot find the expired passport, can I still file the I485. I appreciate your help.
Better give them both there is no harm, because they are gonna check the validity period on them.

I have had an EAD from past 2 years, but I also had a valid H1B I was working for company A on H1 and my GC is filed by Company B future employment(and hence the EAD)
- Company A went down last year, so I was laid off, so my H1 lapsed.
- I switched to Company B since I have an EAD through them.
- I am on Company B's payroll currently.
- The company A folks needed help after they were shutdown, I helped and was paid for hours. (doing same and similar work) but not issued a 1099...
Question - I will need to file taxes on those hours, in terms of immigration have I done anything out of ordinary here? I don't know if USCIS and IRS connecected, or I am just being paranoid here?

IV seems to have a lot of folks here on a h1b with a non profit organization. My wife is currently doing her residency in a non profit organization on a h1b so basically she is not subject to the cap.
After she finishes, and she looks for jobs, is it possible to get a h1b transfer in a profit organization without being subject to cap? Or H1b transfer is possible only with an non profit organization.
Any inputs will be well appreciated.

My spouse and I have been notified through I-797C notice of action letter of the interview for (form-1-485, application to register for permanent residency). They require us to bring along a checklist of items for the interview including form I-864 that needs to be attached with Tax returns and W2 or certified IRS printouts.
Both of us have been in US for 15 years holding F1 and later H1B visas. The problem is that one of us (who is the dependent) has worked in several organizations without authorization. We would like to know what cause of action to take to mitigate the problem as well as the worst-case scenario in terms of our ability to obtain residency. Any advice, particularly those who know of someone who has faced a similar situation will be appreciated.

My H1-B was approved in octubre 2008, I would like to go to my home country but i don't have a visa to be able to come back.

Just wanted to find out if you were aware if it makes any difference as to where you get your receipt from-- with respect to making an appointment(location).
What I mean is, would it be OK to get receipt from a HDFC branch in Mumbai, if you were going to make an appointment with New Delhi Embassy ?
Any experiences..?

It is common to all consulates and Embassy, it can be used anywhere, it will be drawn in favour of US Embassy, New Delhi. HDFC bank will issue you what they have to give, so don't worry.
